چکیده

The paper is devoted to the development of a method for obtaining and using iron-containing sorption materials effective removal arsenic compounds different oxidation states from an aqueous medium. It known that have harmful effect on biota due high toxicity. theoretically experimentally substantiates choice as main sorbent material A series adsorbents, including powder, activated carbon-based granular suspension sorbents, was synthesized by methods (heterogeneous homogeneous precipitation). Experimental studies confirmed adsorption arsenate ions corresponds pseudo-second order reaction (R2=0.999), which inherent in processes. determined oxyhydroxide obtained precipitation demonstrate higher activity (up 70 mg/g As(III) over As(V)). found showed approximately 2 times lower efficiency than powder iron(III) oxide, amorphous hydroxide. shown use microfiltration membranes promising spent materials. combination “fine-particle oxyhydroxide/membrane” allows removing contaminated water sanitary requirements level (less 10 ?g As/l) separating effectively fine-particle

Iron coated pottery granules for arsenic removal from drinking water.

A new media, iron coated pottery granules (ICPG) has been developed for As removal from drinking water. ICPG is a solid phase media that produces a stable Fe-Si surface complex for arsenic adsorption. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) was used to document the physical attributes (grain size, pore size and distribution, surface roughness) of the ICPG media. Several advantages of the ICPG media ...

Sorption of Aromatic Compounds with Copolymer Sorbent Materials Containing β-Cyclodextrin

Urethane copolymer sorbent materials that incorporate β-cyclodextrin (CD) have been prepared and their sorption properties with chlorinated aromatic compounds (i.e., pentachlorophenol, 2,4-dichlorophenol and 2,4-dichlorophenoxy acetic acid) have been evaluated. The sorption properties of granular activated carbon (GAC) were similarly compared in aqueous solution at variable pH conditions. The s...
